allisonfoley: ipod usb cord

hey all!

just joined here & new to nashville. i was wondering if anyone may have an extra ipod usb cord that they were willing to sell? i seemed to have lost mine & i think it's a little ridiculous that the replacements are $20. [but mostly, i'm just a poor recent college grad, haha.]

or, does anyone know about the icky looking generic ones they sell on ebay? i love my apple products, and i really don't think i could resort to even generic cords. but if someone has some feedback on them, i can try that route.

finally, has anyone taken their laptop in to get additional memory added? just wondering if there's been any positive or negative experiences with that.

thanks so much in advance!

i know nothing about ipod usb cords, but i don't think you would hurt it with a generic cord.

i've always installed my own ram. what kind of laptop do you have??

i'm sure a generic cord would be fine...the just look so cheap on all of those ebay listings. i've had a couple bad experiences buying things like that, so i was hoping someone would have something nice to say about them! =)

oh, and i have a G4 powerbook.

yeah. install your own ram if you wanna save some money.

then again, i do generic ram. the apple ram is more reliable but way too expensive imo.

thanks for the suggestion! i will definitely keep that in mind. i practically live on my computer, but i don't know much when it comes to things like that.

i appreciate the help!
